Director of Sixth Form -
Mr Alexander has worked at TGS as the Director of Sixth Form since April 2014. He is also a PE teacher. He is passionate about both of these roles and ensuring that each and every Sixth Form student meets their full potential during their time with us.
UCAS Co-ordinator -
Dr Talbot has been part of the school since 2005. He plays a vital role, alongside the Careers Team, in helping students build their futures after sixth form, whether that be at university or career based. Dr Talbot also teaches Sociology and History and loves them both.
Assistant Director for Teaching and Learning -
Mr Harris joined TGS in the summer of 2017 as a Trust Lead Practitioner in English, having worked in a variety of roles in his previous schools. His passion for Sixth Form is focussed on the engaging and challenging experience that defines teaching and learning at this level. Central to this is the journey of the student as they become a successful, independant learner.
Assistant Director (Pastoral) -
Mr Smith joined the school in 2018 as an Economics and Maths teacher. He started his role as the Assistant Director for pastoral issues in September 2018.
Sixth Form Learning Mentor -
Mrs King has worked for TGS since February 2009. As well as undertaking many of the Sixth Forms' administrative roles, her job is predominantly that of student support. Offering pastoral and academic advice to all of our students, Mrs King is often the first port of call when students need a helping hand.
Sixth Form Administrative Assistant -
Miss Byham has been a part of the Sixth Form Team since September 2016. She is the face of the G Block reception and is on hand to provide administrative support to the staff as well as meeting and greeting visitors.
