Thoughts From Our New TGS Sixth Form Students
Our Year 12 students have now experienced a full timetable cycle and had lots of introductions to what we can offer them over the next two years.
They have met with TGS Alumni, our amazing Careers Team and been able to experience extra curricular activities such as our new Teacher Lecture sessions and our first Debate Society meet. We have also seen the creation of several after school clubs, all encouraging anyone to participate and join in to meet new people...it's been a busy fortnight!
We are thrilled to share the following feedback -
I like my subjects, the teachers are really nice and I have made some friends.
I have enjoyed the first week and felt it to be a nice transition into sixth form life.
I really like the fact that we are trusted and shown respect. It’s a very welcoming environment.
Coming from a home school background, I have really appreciated how welcoming everyone at TGS has been.
I have also been very grateful for all the help provided by the staff/teachers.
I am definitely beginning to settle in and am looking forward to these next two years at TGS.
It’s been really enjoyable so far in sixth form it feels completely different to the lower school as your given a bit more independence as we have free periods which is quite nice as it’s a bit like a lesson that we have planned eg what subject am I going over and how am I going to revise it.
It’s been really good, as I have really interesting lessons and teachers that have made the lessons interesting and engaging.
