Academic Review Day

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Our next Academic Review Day of the year will be on Wednesday January 17th. During the day all students, Years 7 to 13, will have a 15 minute meeting with their tutor and we would like you to attend this with them.  The aim of this meeting is for you to have the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and to support them in setting targets to improve their attainment over the coming months. You will also be able to raise any concerns that you may have about your child’s progress at the school. The Heads of House and the Senior Leadership Team will also be available to answer any questions you might have.

The appointments will take place, for Years 7 to 11, in the main building via the main reception or the student entrance and parking will be in car park B. Sixth Form appointments will take place in G block and parking is available there.

 Students should be in full school uniform and have their Planners with them. Students are only required to be in school for their meeting that day but if you have child care concerns we are happy for the students to be in school, where they will be supervised whilst completing the work that has been set by their subject teachers for that day. Please let your child’s tutor know if you would like to take advantage of this facility.

To help us organise the day and provide you with some flexibility over your appointment we have an online booking system. Instructions on how to use this system are enclosed. Appointments can be made from Friday December 15th until Friday January 12th.

If you do not have access to the internet or you encounter a problem, please contact Miss Abbie Tamsett who will be happy to add appointments on your behalf and answer any questions.

There will also be an opportunity to order or buy school uniform on that day via Student Services.

Year 11 students will all be having a Science exam at 9.30am in the Sports Hall so please ensure that if your child is in Year 11 that you make your appointment before 9 am and after 12 pm.
