What Will I Study?
RSL qualifications are designed to develop knowledge, skills and understanding in a vocational context.
RSL courses allow students to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding in a variety of ways. Practical experiments, presentations, performance and written coursework are all used as evidence and determine the final grade. This enables practical, interesting and varied learning
and our students often excel.
RSL qualifications also provide the opportunity to develop a wide range of transferable skills including time management, organisation, research, presentation skills and working with others.
Students require a Grade 5 or above at GCSE Music, or a Merit or above in a BTEC or RSL Level 2.
Assessments are made throughout the
course and are linked to specific units.
A Music course such as this prepares you
with the skills required for a vocation in the Music Industry along with specifics in how to plan for a career in music. This offers students the potential to become Music Producers, Recording Engineers, Composers, Front of House Sound Engineers, Health and Safety Officers and working as a Technician for touring musicians.
