Our wide range of option subjects represents the fully comprehnsive nature of our school and community, providing courses for eavery student to enjoy success and deepen their knowledge.
Students are fully supported in the process of choosing Year 10 courses during through a range of opportunities and access to teachers. During December and January students have opportunities to discuss these choices with your Tutor, Head of House, Subject Teachers and Learning Mentors, and this includes important conversations with students' families.
Through our guided options process all students choose either History, Geography or Religion, Philosophy & Ethics and the majority of studenst also study a modern foreigh language (French, German or Spanish) or Latin.
Each Year students study 4 courses from a wide range of subjects including:

- Health & Social Care BTEC
- Health & Fitness (V Cert from 2022)
- History
- Latin
- Music
- Music Technology (V Cert from 2022)
- Photography
- Physical Education
- Religion, Philosophy & Ethics
- Spanish
- Statistics
- Textile Design
These are GCSE courses unless specificed as a V Cert, Cambridge National, RSL or BTEC vocational course.
All of these subjects will provide students with a range of subjects to help prepare them for further study at age 16.

Forms to complete will be issued just before the January Academic Review Day when choices can be confirmed with tutors.
Also attached to this page is an activity sheet with space for notes which will help students consider their intial preferences.
